The 4th International Kona Gold Cup is open to all sailors in the following divisions in accordance with the Kona Class Rules:

Light Medium weight
Medium weight
Heavy weight
Ladies
Cadets. Youth up to 14 years Sail size optionalup to Sail 5:0 sqm
Slalom (max 60 participants) and possibly distance race as separate disciplines.
5 FEES

7 CHARTER BOARDS
Charter equipment is available in a limited number. Participants from countries outside Europe have priority.

8 MEASUREMENTS
The Race Committee will subject boats to random Measurement checks. An appointed committee will check the observance of the rules and the safety equipment. In alteration of RRS 63.1 boats not complying with the rules will be penalized without a protest hearing.
9 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available at registration.
10 VENUE
10.1 Then venue is located at Varamobaden, Motala, Sweden. Racing area is in lake Vättern.
11 THE COURSES
The course to be sailed will be windward-leeward with off-set buoy and gate.
Slalom and distance according to separate sailing instructions.
12 PENALTY SYSTEM
12.1 Penalties with 360° turn according to RRS B2.1 applies.
12.3 Decisions of the jury will be final as provided in rule 70.5.
13 SCORING
13.1 The Low Point System of RRS Appendix A shall apply, modified so that if
13.2 (a) When fewer than 3 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
(b) When from 4 to 6 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
(c) When 7 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.
14 SUPPORT BOATS
Support boats shall be marked with national flag. Skippers name and telephone number shall be displayed readable at the boat.
15 BERTHING
Boards shall be kept in their assigned places according to directions from the organizing committee.
19 PRIZES
Prizes will be given for each class and for overall.
20 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
21 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance.
